Partial ORFs identified by similarity search. Each point represents the percent amino acid identity as a function of the length of the match for the best BLASTX match to the nonredundant protein database (see Table 1), after removal of introns from the coding regions. For the whole set of partial ORFs, the average amino acid identity with the best match is 42.9% ± 12.9%, and the average match length is 149 ± 63 aa.
