Kindlin-1 protein-domain organization. A, Schematic representation of the FERM, PH, and talin homology domains of kindlin. C, Evolutionary tree analysis by UPGMA, showing that kindlin-1 and kindlin-2 are more related and more recently diverged from kindlin-3. Protein alignments and UPGMA analysis were performed by use of the Geneworks 2.5 analysis package (Oxford Molecular Group).
