Expression of the E1αpdh Gene in Wild-Type Plants and in the Progeny of the CX13 Selfed Plant.

(A) RNA gel blot analysis using total RNA isolated from various organs of wild-type plants. The same blot was hybridized with ³²P-labeled 18S rDNA to show relative amounts of RNA samples.

(B) RNA gel blot analysis of total RNA isolated from pollen of the CX13 progeny. Equal loading was determined by SYBR gold nucleic acid staining of the gel. Both blots were hybridized with ³²P-labeled E1αpdh-specific cDNA. Genotype of the plants used is as follows: 33 and 35, pdc2/+; 36 and 39, +/+; 45 and 49, pdc2/pdc2.
