T2 weighted (T2W), FLAIR (fluid attenuated inversion recovery), and T1W images demonstrate severe head atrophy with ex vacuo dilatation of the frontal horns and severe atrophy of the putamina with “slit-like” high signal intensity on T2W and low signal intensity on T1W.
