Double staining (immunostaining for Fas and in situ terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase mediated nick end labelling (TUNEL)) shows that Fas and TUNEL positivity were located in non-ischaemic myocardium without apoptosis and ischaemic myocardium, respectively.
