NKD1 down-regulation is associated with poor prognosis in breast invasive ductal carcinoma

Upregulation of NKD1 decreases the invasive potential of breast cancer cells. A. Western blots of NKD1 expression in Ad-control and Ad-NKD1 cells after normalization to GAPDH. B. Ad-control and Ad-NKD1 cells were plated (4×104 cells per well) in Matrigel-coated transwell chambers. After 24 h, the invaded cells on the lower side of the chamber were stained and counted. C. The number of invaded cells was counted using an inverted light microscope. The data are the results of 3 independent experiments performed in triplicate. An average of 5 fields of cells was counted at 100× magnification (*P<0.05). Data were analyzed using the Student’s t test.
