The NDH-1 complexes were solubilized from the NdhL-His strain grown at low CO₂ concentration, and 19 fractions were eluted from Ni²⁺ column by an increasing imidazole gradient from 10 to 200 mM. Eluted fractions were concentrated to 100 μl and subjected to SDS/PAGE. (A) Silver-stained SDS/PAGE gels: lane S, molecular-mass standards; lanes 1–19, elution fractions of gradient immidazole.
