The ability of CIITA to activate wild type (WT) or mutant (out-of-frame ATG) −416CAT reporter constructs was examined in transiently transfected HeLa cells, which were co-transfected with either a control or CIITA expression vector. Data are expressed as CAT activity, corrected for the pSV2LUC internal transfection control; standard errors derive from triplicate samples.
