Monocyte viability was impacted by C. jejuni 81-176. 28SC cells were inoculated with C. jejuni 81-176 as described in the legend to Fig. 1. At the indicated time points, 28SC cells cultured with or without 81-176 were mixed 1:1 with Guava ViaCount reagent and assessed for viability through flow cytometry. The mean percentage of culture cells impervious to the dye plus 1 standard deviation was reported. Black solid, 28SC uninoculated; white, 81-176 inoculated.
