B, flow cytometric analysis of the DNA content in cells doubly deficient in Tsg101 and p21Cip1 (Tsg101fl/fl p21−/− pBabe-Cre) and their controls. The sub-G1 population of apoptotic cells was gated out in this assay. Note that the relative number of cells in S phase is normal in Tsg101-deficient MEFs carrying two mutant Cdkn1a alleles compared with their controls (p > 0.05).
