MRI - magnetic resonance imaging, HFNC – high flow nasal canula, CPAP – continuous positive airway pressure, NIPPV – non-invasive positive pressure ventilation, PMA - postmenstrual age, BSA – body surface area
All infants were diagnosed with BPD at 36 weeks PMA based on 2019 Jensen criteria. Some infants with Grade 3 BPD were extubated while some infants with Grade 2 BPD were intubated between 36 week PMA and the time of MRI.
BPD score is a measure of BPD lung disease severity based on MRI characteristics as previously described17,26; the range of total score is 0 (no BPD) through 14 (Grade 3 BPD).
one-way ANOVA test is significant; post hoc test was significant between all groups except not significant between control and Grade 2, control and Grade 3, and Grade 2 and Grade 3 BPD.
one-way ANOVA test is significant; post hoc test was significant between all groups.
