Start codons of cxcA and sle1 homologues are usually alternative codons of either UUG or GUG. Homologues of sle1 and cxcA were found using BLAST search engine. Here the start codon of the cxcA and sle1 are indicated. An rbc1 promoter could be predicted for all strains (here −35 and − 10 sequences are listed), except for S. saprophyticus, using promoter matrix values for B. subtilis promoter composition (Klucar et al., 2010; Myers et al., 2021). Lastly, the analyzed genome accession number is indicated.
