Hypoxic preconditioning of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) leads to increased intracellular expression of Hif1α (hypoxia-inducible factor 1 alpha) and proteins primarily involved in glucose metabolism and ECM (extracellular matrix) remodeling.
