Lgr6-null BMSCs have decreased osteoblastogenesis and mineralization: (A) BMSCs harvested from individual 18-month-old male Control and Lgr6-null mice. Graphs show CFU and CFU-ALP+ colonies. (B) BMSC cultures from individual mice were grown to confluence for three days. Cultures were treated with osteogenic medium (50 μg/ml ascorbic acid and 8 mM β-glycerophosphate) for ten days. The osteogenic medium was changed every other day. Calcium deposits were assessed by staining with Alizarin Red S. (C) RT-qPCR analysis of indicated osteogenic markers. N = 4 mice/genotype.
