Trafficking of eosinophils into the airways after allergen challenge in CCR3−/− and wild-type mice. Eosinophil accumulation is selectively reduced in the lungs of OA-challenged CCR3−/− mice (a) compared to those of wild-type littermate controls (b). On closer inspection, we find that the eosinophils in CCR3−/− mice are trapped within the blood vessels and located under the endothelial cells (c Inset).
