Expression of a dominant-negative form of hsc70 impairs the formation of macrosomes. (A) Expression levels of EGFP-hsc70 fusion proteins (Upper) and Ii (Lower) in double-transfected COS-1 cells sorted for GFP expression were assessed by immunoblotting. (B) Confocal images of COS-1 cells cotransfected with cDNA encoding for Ii and GFP-hsc70wt (Left) or Ii and GFP-hsc70K71M (Right). Cells were stained with anti-Ii plus Cy3-conjugated anti-mouse IgG.
