Systematic reviews of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) evaluating interventions targeted exclusively at informal caregivers of older adults (65+) OR living with age-related conditions
 • If reported explicitly by the review, the average age of participants of included studies was 65 years or older
 • Age-related conditions included heart failure, Alzheimer’s disease or other related dementias, or chronic kidney disease (if the diagnosis was unclear, authors met to mutually agree on study eligibility)
Systematic reviews of RCTs evaluating interventions targeted as caregivers of adults (<65) or pediatric populations
Reviews reported on outcomes of the intervention for informal caregivers, including depression, burden and/or quality of life Caregiver outcomes collected for care-recipient focused interventions
Published in the last 5 years (January 2018–January 2023) Published before January 2018
Published in the English language Not available in English
Manuscripts that did not report on a form of knowledge synthesis (systematic review, scoping review, etc.)
