TLR4 rs4986790 (A allele: 25% vs. 8.2% in East Asians, p < 0.001) and TNF-α rs1800629 (A allele: 20% vs. 12.5% in Europeans, p = 0.003) showed elevated frequencies in our cohort, suggesting disease-specific or regional enrichment. IL-10 rs1800896 (G allele: 30% vs. 22.1% globally, p = 0.012) and MBL2 rs1800450 (B allele: 15% vs. 10.8% in South Asians, p = 0.021) also exhibited higher frequencies, supporting their roles in infection susceptibility and pathogen recognition, respectively.
