Western immunoblot analysis of whole-cell preparations of wild-type and mutant strains. Whole-cell proteins were obtained from bacteria after incubation at 37°C (A) and 28°C (B) for 14 h on LB plates. Whole-cell proteins (10⁶ CFU) were loaded onto an SDS-10% PAGE gel, transferred to a nitrocellulose membrane, and probed with an α-Laf or α-Fla antibody, followed by anti-rabbit secondary antibodies, and then developed with the ECL blotting kit (Amersham).
