Redox state affects dimerization and complex formation of the full-length GhCesA1 and complex formation in vivo. (A) Western blot of total membrane proteins (20 μg) extracted from yeast expressing the plasmid PGAL1 (P) and the full-length GhCesA1 (PGAL1-CesA1: A1) subjected to gradient (4–12%) SDS/PAGE, blotted, and immunodetected with anti GhCesA1 Zn domain antibodies. Samples were pretreated with DTT and diamide as indicated. (B) Western blot of detergent-solubilized plasma membrane proteins extracted from 24 DPA cotton fibers and separated on nondenaturing gradient PAGE (4–12%).
