Induction of GCRs by treatment of a wild-type S. cerevisiae strain with MMS. The strain RDKY3615 was treated with the indicated MMS concentration for 2 h, and the resulting GCR frequency was determined as described under Materials and Methods. The results reported are the average fold induction of the GCR frequency relative to the GCR frequency of untreated wild-type cells. The error bars indicate the SD of the results from 3–6 independent experiments.
