Determination of the equilibrium dissociation constant of Mg²⁺ ions for mediating the protein–RNA complex, using a gel mobility shift assay. The equilibrium dissociation (K_d) constants were determined for the metal ions mediating protein–RNA complex formation, using a non-linear curve-fitting algorithm (GraphPad Prism 2.0, GraphPad Software).
