The three main zones present in these plots, the SP, the main cohort of cells containing one copy of DNA (cells in G0-G1) and the cohort of most cells containing DNA in excess of one copy by virtue of being in the S, G2 or M phase of the cell cycle (S-G2/M) are indicated.
