An example of widespread WMH growth on co-registered axial FLAIR images (A) and hippocampal atrophy on coronal T1 images of the temporal lobes (B) at baseline and follow-up 2.5 years later. In this individual, the WMHVR was 4.6 mL/y, the baseline total hippocampal volume was 6.6 mL, and the HAR was 0.17 mL/y.
