Cardiac troponin I and brain natriuretic peptide were elevated upon arrival, indicating cardiac stress. AST and ALT were also elevated due to hepatic congestion. Cr and eGFR reflected impaired renal function. AST and ALT peaked on POD2 and gradually declined thereafter. Cr and eGFR also showed improvement after POD2. By POD9, most blood test values had returned to near-normal levels.
