1 Chi-square test.

2 Body weight status (non-excess: BMI < 24; overweight: BMI = 24–27; obese: BMI ≥ 28) was categorized based on recommendations for Chinese adults using body mass index (BMI).

3 Hypertension (HTN) referred to that either the objectively-measured systolic/diastolic blood pressure exceeded 140/90 mmHg or diagnosed hypertension.

4 Triglyceride status was classified as normal (< 1.7mmol/L) or hypertriglyceridemia (HTG) (≥ 1.7mmol/L) according to Chinese Guidelines for Lipid Management (2023).
