a

CPD calculated only among participants who smoked cigarettes at week 8.

b

CPD: cigarettes per day.

c

Not available.

d

SP: study product.

e

SP flavor variants used at week 8 were categorized as only tobacco SP variant, only menthol SP variant, or both SP variants.

f

Results for daily and nondaily smoking when stratified by SP flavor variants used may not equal the results for daily and nondaily smoking overall given some participants did not use the SP at week 8.

g

Daily cigarette smoking was an inclusion criterion for study enrollment and all (100%) participants in both study groups reported daily cigarette smoking. Results for the use pattern of cigarette smoking were based on data at baseline, during which some exclusive cigarette smokers (n=6) and dual users (n=30) did not smoke daily.
