SAV produced by various B. subtilis hosts. Cells were cultured in CA medium containing vitamin-free Casamino Acids and harvested at the early stationary phase. SAV in the culture supernatant was analyzed on a 12% polyacrylamide gel containing SDS and stained with Coomassie blue.
