The proteasomal inhibitor MG132 increases the half-life of a LRP minireceptor, mLRP4. CHO-mLRP4 cells were metabolically labeled with [35S]cysteine for 30 min and chased for the indicated times, in the absence or presence of MG132 (20 μM). After each chase, cell lysates were immunoprecipitated with anti-HA antibody and analyzed with SDS gels (6%) under reducing conditions. The molecular size markers in this and subsequent figures are given in kilodaltons on the left. The positions of the precursor and the mature forms of mLRP4 are marked.
