CpG ODN induces VEGF production. J774A.l cells were incubated in two-well chamber slides with 2 μg/ml of FITC-CpG ODN (A and B) or control (C) FITC-ODN for 18 h. A represents one J774A.1 cell with internalized FITC–CpG ODN (1,000×). The cells (B and C) were fixed and stained for mVEGF. Approximately 70% of the cells internalized FITC-CpG ODN (green), and every cell expressing VEGF (color range: yellow to red) also stained with FITC-CpG ODN (400×).
