The strains tested were PS, the E1, E4, B2 and B3 mutants containing wild-type nfsA and nfsB (solid triangles) and the ΔnfsA ΔnfsB knockout mutations (solid circles). At least four independent experiments were carried out for each strain. The range, median and mean are shown as bars, filled circles and hollow circles, respectively. Statistical difference between MICs in the ΔnfsA ΔnfsB knockout mutation strains was tested by the Kruskal–Wallis test, followed by a post hoc Dunn’s test.
