Immunofluorescence microscopy of HRV internalized into HeLa cells at 34°C for 20 min. HeLa cells grown on chamber slides were challenged with 5 μg of HRV2 or HRV14 per ml. HRV2 was detected with monoclonal antibody 3B10 and HRV14 was detected with 17-1A followed by FITC-conjugated rabbit anti-mouse IgG. Control incubations without HRV2 or HRV14 (not shown) exhibited background fluorescence.
