Increased mutation rates caused by drug treatment result in a faster evolution of drug resistance even if the effective population size is reduced by the same factor or more. Two different scenarios are shown. The following parameters are used: wab = 1, wAb = waB = 1.1, wAB = 1.21, f = 0.75, and r = 0.5.
