Streamplots were generated with ggplot2 to depict DelVG competition dynamics. Each colored area corresponds to a unique DelVG junction; its area size at a passage reflects that junction’s proportional abundance (NGS reads for the junction/total DelVG-derived reads of the segment at that passage). At each passage, the vertical extent of the full stack is proportional to the segment’s total DelVG reads at that passage (height = K × total reads), with a single K used within each segment, determined by ggplot’s autoscaling based on that segment’s maximum total reads. Colors are assigned independently per plot; identical colors across segments do not denote the same DelVG.
