SOCS2 enhances mRNA levels of CIS, SOCS1, and SOCS3. (A) Ba/F3-SOCS2 cells were incubated overnight in 2% FCS and stimulated with 100 U/ml IL-3 as shown. mRNA levels were analyzed by real-time PCR using specific primers for CIS, SOCS1, SOCS2, SOCS3, and c-myc. Data are expressed as relative mRNA levels. (B) RT-PCR was performed with 1 μg of total RNA using primer pairs specific for CIS, SOCS1, SOCS2, SOCS3, and GAPDH. The PCR products were resolved by 2% agarose gel electrophoresis and visualized with ethidium bromide staining. (C) RT-PCR was performed with 1 μg of total RNA using primer pairs specific for Pim-1, OSM, BCL-xL, SOCS2, and β-actin.
