^cA 2-deoxygalactose-resistant (Gal⁻) diploid, AF27, was mixed with either of two tetraploids in a 1:1 ratio and injected into mice. At the times indicated, mice were sacrificed, their kidneys were excised and homogenized, and the homogenate was plated on YEPD. The cells were grown for several days on YEPD and then replica plated to Min plus 2-deoxygalactose. The number of 2-dG-sensitive colonies is taken as the number of colonies derived from the tetraploid inoculum.
