Table 1. Distribution of PMI by Sex.

Sex Q1 (25th percentile) Q2 (Median) Q3 (75th percentile) Mean ± SD
This table displays the distribution of PMI values among male and female patients in the cohort. Male participants had higher PMI values across all quartiles compared to female participants, with a median PMI of 5.94 cm²/m² (IQR: 4.89–7.23) and a mean ± SD of 5.97 ± 1.62 cm²/m². In contrast, females had a lower median PMI of 4.33 cm²/m² (IQR: 3.29–5.29) and a mean ± SD of 4.27 ± 1.45 cm²/m². These values reflect expected sex-based differences in skeletal muscle mass. PMI: psoas muscle index.
