The authors contacted the journal after being made aware of an error in Fig. 1E of the published paper. After reviewing the corrected figure and provided source data, the journal agrees to retract and replace Fig. 1E.

Author statement:

We inserted the immunoblotting panel for Mcm5 ‘IPs of Mcm4-9MYC’ twice in Fig. 1E, once in its correct place but also incorrectly as the Mcm7 immunoblotting panel for ‘IPs of Mcm4-9MYC’.

The source data confirm this error and verify that the correct data have been used to make the updated version of Fig. 1E. This correction does not affect the integrity of the results or conclusions presented in the study.
