Colonization of mouse tissue sites by Dam-overproducing Y. pseudotuberculosis. Six- to eight-week-old BALB/c mice were infected via gastrointubation at a dose of ca. 2.5 × 10¹⁰ Dam⁺ (□) or Dam-overproducing (▪) Y. pseudotuberculosis. At 1 or 5 days postinfection, mice were sacrificed and bacteria were recovered from the host tissues indicated.
