Phosphorylation of p47^phox in PMA-stimulated neutrophils in the presence of A. phagocytophila. ³²P-preloaded neutrophils were incubated in the presence or absence of host-cell-free A. phagocytophila (HGE) for 30 min at 37°C. PMA (0.5 μg/ml) was added to stimulate neutrophils for 5 min at 37°C. Cells were lysed and immunoprecipitated with anti-p47^phox antibody and protein G-agarose. The precipitated proteins were subjected to SDS-PAGE and identified by autoradiography. Data shown are representative of three independent experiments using neutrophils from three separate donors.
