Time course of persistence of bacteria in spleen and PP. Groups of nine mice were immunized i.g. with 1 × 108 to 3 × 108 CFU of Y. enterocolitica O:9(pCIP39) (A) or O:9 (B) and sacrificed after 2, 7, or 21 days (three mice at each time).
