The data are expressed as the percentage of SEB stimulation, where inhibition = 100 − [(experimental counts per minute for anti-SEB or anti-SEB fragment IgY)/(medium control counts per minute) × 100].

^bAffinity-purified IgY and 5 μg (approximately 25 LD₅₀) of SEB were incubated for 1 h at 37°C. Mice were given the mixture, and then they were injected with a potentiating dose of LPS (75 μg). Lethality was recorded 4 days after the challenge dose was administered.
