Mice were transurethrally cochallenged with a total inoculum of 109 CFU containing a 1:1 ratio of E. coli CFT073 wild type (○) and CFT073ON (▵) or E. coli CFT073 wild type (○) and CFT073OFF (□). Urine (A and D), bladder (B and E), and kidney (C and F) samples were quantitatively cultured at 4, 24, 48, and 72 hpi.
