Role of CCR5 in IFN-γ regulation of cell death pathways. (A, D, and F) Tg and Tg+ mice were placed on dox water and treated with anti-CCR5 or control Ig. (B, C, E, and G) CCR5+/+ and CCR5–/– Tg and Tg+ mice were treated with dox water for 4 weeks. mRNA was evaluated by RT-PCR (A and B) and real-time RT-PCR (C). BAL TNF levels were evaluated by ELISA (D and E). (F) Caspase-3, -8, and -9, Bid, and truncated Bid (tBid) were evaluated by Western blot analysis. (G) Caspase bioactivity was evaluated.
