Table 4.

The results of a Wilcoxon Rank Sum test on maize isoline genotypes phenotyped for tissue culture response traits in a fine mapping population. Isolines are sorted by mean trait values and ranked from high to low. For example, for regenerated plantlets (RPL) order from 1 to 15, A188 is ranked number 1 with the highest mean number of RPL compared to isoline 110 with the lowest mean number of plantlets. Each tissue culture trait is ranked based on high (rank = 1) to low (rank = 15) mean scores.

The percent of zygotic embryos displaying areas of dense somatic embryogenesis 24 and 38 d after tissue culture initiation (DAT) and the average callus diameter at 24 and 38 DAT.

Tissue culture traits were recorded as mean number of regenerated plantlets regenerated (RPL).
