CD40L-dependent IL-12p70 secretion by infected DCs is parasite species and strain dependent. Cells were infected using metacyclic promastigotes of the various strains indicated, followed by stimulation with 0.5 μg/ml CD40L. The supernatants were analyzed for IL-12p70 by ELISA.
