The article “Fenbendazole as an Anticancer Agent? A Case Series of Self-Administration in Three Patients” [Case Rep Oncol. 2025;18:856–863; https://doi.org/10.1159/000546362] by William Makis, Ilyes Baghli, and Pierrick Martinez has been retracted by the Publisher and Editor.
After publication of this article, concerns were brought to the journal's attention regarding a potential undeclared conflict of interest by the first author. It was brought to the journal's attention that, at the time of the manuscript's submission to the journal, the first author offered services related to the topic of the study. This activity was not declared in the conflict of interest statement of the article.
On review of the concerns raised, the author's response when contacted were found to be unsatisfactory. It was concluded by the Editor that these concerns would have affected the interpretation of the work and recommendation and, therefore, the article is being retracted.
