HA and NA classification of amplicons from sample set 4 and 5. RNA was extracted using the QIAamp viral RNA mini kit (Qiagen) or the Zymo Quick-RNA viral kit (Zymo) using the Bento lab pro system. Subtypes were characterised by manual mapping to a non-redundant reference gene set downloaded from GISAID.
