Immunoblot detection of FimA expression in wild-type FW213 cells grown in Chelex-100-treated CDM supplemented with metal ions. The cells were grown with the following concentrations of Mn²⁺, Mg²⁺, and Fe³⁺: Mn²⁺ (0.05 to 10 μM), 5.0 μM Mg²⁺, and 1.0 μM Fe³⁺ (A); Mg²⁺ (0.01 to 5.0 μM), 1.0 μM Fe³⁺, and 1.0 μM Mn²⁺ (B); and Fe³⁺ (0.05 to 10 μM), 5.0 μM Mg²⁺, and 1.0 μM Mn²⁺ (C).
