Kinetics of GTP hydrolysis catalyzed by human eRF3 in the presence of the ribosomes and eRF1 mutants. Amount of wt-eRF1 and its mutants are indicated in pmoles. Each tube contained 125 pmol of GTP (800–2000 c.p.m./pmol), 2 pmol of the ribosomes, 2 pmol of eRF3Cp and varying amounts of wt- or mutant eRF1. An average from three independent experiments is shown. The experimental error was ±5%.
